Photo taken when the Cubs won the world series.

Hello everyone from Chicago. So I realize the Cubs won the world series a few year ago but have to say this is my favorite photo I have taken in Chicago. It was so cold this day but was worth the drive down there. I really hope they can win again soon. Hope we don't have to wait 103 years.

Day 3 of 30 from across the way from the John Hancock Building

Image
Good morning from a great night by the John Hancock. Day before my birthday and I have to say it was a great way to enjoy turning another year older. I love how Chicago just lights up at night and how every building is so unique. This building was built in June of 1965 and it really is amazing to think it is 1 year older than me. I really hope everyone has a great day.

Day 2 of 30 of the Challenge. Went to an incredible spot in Wadsworth, IL.

Good evening everyone from Wadsworth, IL. Was looking for another spot that I have never been to and came across this spot in Wadsworth, IL. It is called the Gold Pyramid House.  Wow did this not disappoint. Have to say that walking around here I could not believe the Grandfather built this and then the Father took over. Met the Bar Manager who told us the whole story. Only open from Noon to 5 on Saturday and Sunday. Due to a fire they are rebuilding it. Should be done in about 2 months. Just so you know they are having a concert on Fathers day 2019.  Above it the entrance to the place which I could not believe looked so authentic. I really did not feel like I was in Illinois. They have a mummy tomb with real artifacts. This was built in 1977 and the Grandfather moved in in 1982. If you get a chance to visit you will not be disappointed.  They are considering renting out for AirBnB once remodeling is done.

Day 1 of 30 Woodstock, IL The location where Groundhog Day the Movie was filmed

Image
Good morning from Woodstock, IL. Went there last night and have to say it is such a cool town. I really had a visual of Bill Murray and Andie McDowell walking around town. What is crazy is it is a town of 25,000 but there is so much to see in this town. I would highly recommend visiting this place. The second photo is from the Opera House and it is amazing to see how cool they built this. Actors that have performed at the Opera House are Paul Newman, Beverly Sills, Mickey Rooney, and John Astin from the Adams Family.

Also my favorite city in Illinois

Hello from the Naperville River walk. I love this part of Naperville so much and really enjoyed coming here to take photos after a large flood. It was amazing to see how much water was here and decided to use a filter to make the water look like glass. Hotel Indigo is the hotel that is brand new to Naperville. It is incredible to see the view you can get from here. Also met a wonderful couple from South Carolina. Spoke to them for well over 20 minutes. Just wanted to say hi and hope you had safe travels back.
